2019-11-05Collection of 2019 HKDSE Certificates

All graduates are to collect their 2019 HKDSE certificates in person from the school office
from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. Students are reminded to bring their identitiy card.
If changes to any personal details on the certificates are needed, students are required to make
these changes personally at the Hong Kong Examination and Assessment Authority
before 31st December 2019 at no charge. If students miss the deadline, a fee of $258 will be collected.
o changes will be allowed after 31st March 2020. If you have any questions, please call 25785984 during office hours.

2020-01-11Volunteer service in Yiu Tung Estate
In order to realise our school motto“Civil Responsibility”, our volunteer service team took part in a service programme delivering Lunar New Year Gifts to the elderly of Yiu Tung Estate on 11/1/2020. The volunteer service team, JPC members, teachers as well as PTA members also took part in this activity.
2020-01-03The first Catholic Teachers Formation
The first Catholic Teachers Formation was held on 3rd of January, 2020 at St. Peter’s Church in Aberdeen. Our team invited guest speaker Sr. Teresa Cheung, who has dedicated her life to God. The theme of this formation is “Yes, father! You used to like this!” Through the prayer, movie sharing, individual meditation and group sharing, Sr. Teresa brought out the theme, and she encouraged us to persist in our goal of teaching, whether our student are naughty or having some special needs, we can let them be good people.
2019-12-21Mountain Craft Certificate Course
In order to enhance the students' perseverance, our Student Affairs Committee has arranged for students a “Mountain Craft Certificate Course” organized by the LCSD. This course can train students how to overcome difficulties in adversity. After four theoretical and practical classes, many students and teachers have successfully obtained certificates on 21 Dec. Congratulations to them.
2019-12-20Christmas Blackboard Graffiti Competition
The Christmas Blackboard Graffiti Competition was held on 20/12. It was a chance for students to decorate the classroom with their creativity and drawing skills.
2019-12-20Christmas Event
Christmas event was held on 20th December, 2019. The Christmas prayer service was held by Rev. Deacon Louis Wong. After the Christmas prayer service, students enjoyed a number of activities which included Bingo games, thanksgiving events and a singing performance by Mr. Kenny Li, a drama performance by the Drama Club. Parents also participated in this event, to give blessing to our teachers and students.
2019-12-18E&RE Teachers Organized a Development Day
E&RE teachers organized a development day on 18th December, 2019. We visited an Art exhibition held by the team of Art for God from HKDAVC. During the exhibition, we watched many paintings included in different topics, such as Love, Accompany, Pain, Society etc. After that, we enjoyed “Art jamming”, to express our feelings from teaching and Gospel stories, and share the products and feelings mutually.
2019-12-1535th Hong Kong Teachers Athletics Meet 2019
Mr. Leung Yan Wing, our Panel Head of Visual Arts won many awards at the 35th Hong Kong Teachers Athletics Meet 2019, including the men's 50m and 100m championships, the 200m runner-up, and the male teachers' group C championship. Congratulations to Mr. Leung.
2019-12-142019 STEAM Primary School Invitational Tournament
2019 STEAM Primary School Invitational Tournament was held at our school on 14th of December. A total of 35 teams from 10 primary schools participated in all the competitions, including ‘Egg falling on Earth’, ‘mBot Dead platform’ and ‘Electronic Go-Kart’ events. Finally, Choi Wan St. Joseph Primary School A team was the winner of ‘Egg falling on Earth’, North Point Government Primary School B team was the winner of ‘mBot Dead platform’ and SKH St. Clement’s Primary School was the winner of ‘Electronic Go-Kart’. Both Hong Kong & Macau Lutheran Church Primary School and Choi Wan St. Joseph Primary School got the prize of ‘The Most Participation’ Award. The overall Champions were Precious Blood Primary School and Hong Kong & Macau Lutheran Church Primary School. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all participating schools.
2019-11-29Mass for the souls in purgatory
The month of November is dedicated to all souls in Purgatory. Our school held a mass for the souls in purgatory on the 29th of November,2019. The mass is offered by Rev. Moses Ngai.

2019-11-21About the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the distribution of UT Report Cards of Junior Forms originally

Due to current social situation, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the distribution of UT Report Cards of Junior Forms originally held on 22 November 2019 will be cancelled. The 1st Uniform Test reports will be distributed to students on Friday, 22 November2019. The ballot paper of PTA election will be given on 21 November 2019. Parents are kindly requested to cast their votes and hand in the ballot paper by 28 November 2019. The counting of the votes will be held at 12:00 noon on 29 November 2019. The results will be announced at 1:30 p.m. and the elected Committee Members will take office. All parents are invited to join.

In light of the recent situation and traffic conditions in Hong Kong,
the First Examination of S6 will be postponed by one week.
Please refer to the attached timetable for reference.

2019-11-13Arrangement of School Days

In light of the recent situation and traffic conditions in Hong Kong, for the sake of students’
safety, please note the following arrangements:

  1. All after school activities, extra lessons and detention classes will be cancelled on
    Wednesday, 13th  November 2019. Students should be aware of their own safety
    and go back home after school as soon as possible.
  2. The school outing scheduled on Thursday, 14th November 2019 will be cancelled.
    Students do not need to go back to school but are expected to be at home and
    complete the assignments given through eClass.
  3. According to the school calendar, the school holiday on Friday, 15th November 2019
    will be as scheduled. Students do not need to go back to school.
  4. All activities, lessons and extra lessons organized at school or outside school will be
    cancelled on Saturday, 16th November 2019.

All activities including ECA activities, supplementary classes, detention classes after school will be cancelled today (12 Nov). All students need to leave school and back to home at 3:40pm.

2019-10-29On campus Caritas Charity Bazaar

“On campus Caritas Charity Bazaar” was held on the 29th October, 2019, with the theme “Give Them a Ray of Hope”. We put up game stalls, sale booths and a concert to help raise fund for Caritas. Thank you all teachers and parents for sponsoring our event, and also thank you for all Form 3 students to design those game stalls. It was accomplished with a great success by the efforts of all parents, teachers and students.
